Did you know sales agents renewing for the first time, active or inactive, must have a total of 270 qualifying real estate course hours? These hours include the initial 180 hours required to obtain a license. The additional 90 qualifying course hours satisfy the Sales Apprentice Education (SAE) requirements for first time renewals. These hours must include the 30-hour Real Estate Brokerage course. In addition, sales agents must complete 4 hours each in Legal Update I and Legal Update II. If an agent has been made a supervisor by their broker, they must also complete the 6-hour Broker Responsibility course to renew.

 

After the first renewal, sales agents and brokers must complete 18 clock hours of Texas real estate approved continuing education (CE) courses. Required courses include 4 hours each in Legal Update I and Legal Update II and 3 hours in a contract-related course. Agents who have been made a supervisor by their broker, and brokers that sponsor sales agents, or have served as the designated broker for a business entity or made a supervisor of other license holders must also complete the 6-hour Broker Responsibility course to renew. Agents are always scrambling to find convenient locations and times to complete these

courses.

Builders/Developers

Builders or Developers can group sponsor for Complimentary CE credit classes monthly or quarterly to real estate agents in one of your beautiful MODEL or INVENTORY HOMES.  Upon class completion, an invoice is emailed to the Builder/Developer for payment.

Title companies, mortgage companies or brokerages interested in hosting CE credit classes, please contact us.

Sponsor Cancellations

We value your time and make preparations to have a successful class at your location.  If you have to cancel the class , there is a $200 charge for cancellations made with less than 2 weeks notice. If you cancel a class within 3 days of scheduled class, full class fees will be charged. If cancellation is due to an extreme event the fees are waived.
